Drew is from Colona , British Columbia , and although he is 45 years old and he has been driving trucks for a long time, he is the newbie on the team. He has never before driven on an ice road. He claimed to be in it for the long run, but the other drivers did not seem so convinced. Ironically he ran into a patch of bad luck and had to call it quits and return home.

Hey Drew I am the kind of guy I will try anything once. I know that you were the new guy on the team on the ice road truckers season of 2007 and that you ran into some bad luck and quit and went home I would have done the same thing if I had have been in your shoes but I hope that you go back and drive the ice road again next year because I don’t care if the guys considered you a goof I liked your character.
September 6th, 2007 at 4:09 pmDrew is from KELOWNA, British Columbia
November 12th, 2007 at 8:34 am—- Proper Spelling ——–
Hugh is a jerk, he puts people in his POS trucks that are fit for nothin but the junkyard, and expects them to make him a rich man. What a dipsh*t

June 17th, 2008 at 12:41 amYou need to get off this show and do your own.I think your the best and the reason why I watch the show!!!!!
Hey Drew-
Glad to see that you decided to come back for season 2. I think you got a raw deal in the first season. But I was sad to see that you quit the new trucking company so early. The owner did have an attitude against you, no doubt. But do not play in the hands of folks who see you as a ‘goof’. You are not that man- you can do this!
June 18th, 2008 at 10:35 amDrew, is Kurt Wainman as big of a moron as he looks on the show? What a creep. If he treats people with more respect, maybe folks will want to stick around his lousy middle of nowhere company. Good luck, buddy.
June 22nd, 2008 at 11:14 pmAt the beginning of the First Episode of 2008 I said “I bet Drew quits without delivering even one load this year” and I WAS RIGHT! Ahahahahahahaha !!!!!!!!!
What a goofball you are. Showing up in the Arctic Circle with NO JACKET and NO HARDHAT?!?! Didn’t you bother to think ahead? To check up on things you would need to work there? Obviously not. And you wonder why Kurt wasn’t in a hurry to get you a load?!?! It is because he could tell you are a dumbass from the first 10 minutes he met you.
Oh my gosh you are such a freaking idiot!
June 23rd, 2008 at 3:16 pmI think you language from post 7 alone should get it deleated let alone his or hers hatered.Your an idiot
June 23rd, 2008 at 5:17 pmdrew u are an embarasment to all us truckers , the only reason they keep u onn the show is so everyone can see how dumb some people really are , u are a joke , a quitter and most of all a idiot, . i keep watching the show in anticipation that one day u will fail miserably , it like watching a train wreck .
June 25th, 2008 at 10:00 pmSteven,
Speaking of trainwrecks, have you looked in the mirror lately?
Drew is a victim of bad luck, pure and simple. It’s not Drew’s fault last season, that Hugh didn’t maintain his trucks and gave Drew his rolling junkyard. This season, it’s not his fault he got sick. It’s not his fault that Kurt Wainman was such a creep. Speaking of Hugh, why doesn’t he get rid of his weird homo obsession with Drew, and give the guy a break. Instead of beating on another driver, how about Hugh go back and fix some of the crap in his fleet so they don’t breakdown all the time? Everybody runs into problems. Rick Yemm was also ripping on Drew before blowing away the oil pan on his own truck. Now, Rick is cooling his heels in Tuk and no more flapping mouth.
Now, that’s a trainwreck……
June 28th, 2008 at 1:47 amOk- here is the problem with Drew as I see it. I agree with Drew fan- what happened last season, with the exception of Drew letting his rig run out of diesel, was largely the result of some incredibly rotten luck and Hugh, who just did not give a crap about the condition of his rolling stock (note how he let Rick freeze in a rig without heat in 30 below!).
I was surprised to see Drew back after the way in which he was portrayed in the show, but I had to give him credit for returning to redeem his reputation.
But . . . . having said that, I think Drew needs to sit down and consider things much more carefully then he has. It is as if he does not realize that he is on television. In television, image is EVERYTHING! He made a HUGE mistake quitting Kurt’s company. Even though Kurt was a jerk, by quitting as he did he accomplished nothing but providing ammo for his detractors, to make him look like an even bigger goof then he looked last season.
Instead, he should have toughed it out and made Kurt look like the jerk. I feel bad for Drew. I think he has more going for him then the show portrays. But at this point it appears that Drew is his own worst enemy.
June 28th, 2008 at 11:19 amAt the time that Drew quit Kurt’s company, he had been sitting for a few days with no loads. It’s obvious Kurt didn’t like Drew, so how long will it be until Drew gets some work. Maybe, Drew should have toughed it out a couple more days hoping for a change, or at least line up another job before quitting. But sooner or later, unless Kurt gets a personality transplant, Drew will have to leave Northwind Industries. Working for a boss who spits on you is ugly.
You’re right that Drew does make decisions too quickly, and has a bad image on the show. He has made mistakes, and his health just hasn’t been there this season. He should just do the best he can the remainder of this season, and think twice about coming back next year.
June 28th, 2008 at 12:38 pmSee- that’s just it. I was shocked as hell to see Drew back this year. Unfortunately for him, I think the producers may have brought him back to be the comic relief guy of the show. The truth of the matter is Rick ought to be the comic relief guy, between the blue hair and the two damaged trucks. Drew has yet to destroy anything this season. Yet, he is the comic foil. Like I said, everything is image on television because it is for entertainment purposes only. I’d love to see Drew come back and kick everyone’s ass- it would make for some great television. We’ll just have to wait and see.
June 28th, 2008 at 1:34 pmDrew,
June 29th, 2008 at 11:28 pmYou are the laziest and the most worthless person on the show you have no business up there and you should head home and give the pants back to your wife we all know that she wear them when your home. you say your not a quitter but thats all you do on the show is make excuses on why you cant work when the only reason why you cant work is because you have no work ethics. your lazy,a bad actor, you suck at everything you do , you blame others for your mistakes, and your just plain worthless, why your wife hasn’t left your dumb!@# is a wounder to me, god knows she can do better then you. even a dog gives more to it job then you do. the best thing for the show would be to watch your truck sink in the ocean with you straped in it. i beleave your wife would agree. and the ratings would go thru the roof then you would at least have done something. i meen there wont be any greaf just joy for the employers that have had the unforchanet pleasure of having you work oops i meen wasting there time. and for the others to find excuses for you like blaming kurt just goes to show that your not the only dumb#@! person out there. you will not get hired in the southwest of the united states as trucker not after this show thats for sure, your the butt of the joke on the trckers radio all thru the states your rep is one of shame and disgrace
While I am not a Drew fan… I am surprised that the venom and hatred spouted off by “thesoutherndadeo” in #14. He speaks of shame and disgrace… maybe he should look at his grammar and spelling.
Drew is indeed lazy. His work ethic is indicative of society as a whole… our world has become one where people believe they are entitled to results without the effort… with welfare… with education… etc. Big government is the answer… you don’t need to earn it… we will give it to you! Thanks Big Gov! What happened to doing things the old fashioned way… with hard work… and earning something? Drew really needs to quit trying to be funny… and just produce some results.
June 30th, 2008 at 11:32 pmSoutherndadeo, did something happened between your wife & Drew? From your tone, it sounded like something definitely occurred.
How is Drew lazy? Laziness is refusing to work. Drew didn’t refuse to work for Hugh. He just got sick of being stuck with Hugh’s rolling junkyard. What was Drew supposed to have done at Northwind? Kurt refused to give him any work. Instead of just letting Drew go, Kurt just let him sit there and starve. What an unbelievable creep! Drew went to the Artic to work and feed his family, not sit around and enjoy Kurt’s 5-Star accomodations. He didn’t refuse to work at his new job after Northwind. He got sick. Being ill does NOT equal laziness. I would rather have him call in sick, rather than coming in and get everyone else in the building sick.
Drew isn’t sitting around waiting on a welfare check. He’s the victim of poor health. He’s the victim of Hugh’s stupidity and reckless disregard for safety by failing to maintain his fleet. Drew is also the victim of a pathetic excuse for a boss who prefers to starve his employees rather than just letting them go.
Drew loves to produce some results. He just can’t do it with junk equipment, poor health, and a stupid creep at Northwind who believes in slow starvation.
July 2nd, 2008 at 1:16 amWah wah wah, Drew is a victim!!! Please, he’s a moron. Most of us have worked with a guy like Drew and hated him. If you haven’t then you’re probably that guy. I was rooting for Drew from the beginning of the new season, but that didn’t last long at all. The guy sets himself up for failure at every turn. So what he had to sit around @ Northwind, he was unprepared (he didn’t even bring a coat!). Kurt is an asshole, there’s no doubt about that, but he was 100% dead on in his assesment of “Dewey” and his lack of preperation for the task at hand. Hey Thesoutherndildo, we all know Drew sucks and it’s fun to laugh at him, but wishing he’d fall through the ice and hoping his family leaves him is a little much don’t you think?
July 3rd, 2008 at 2:52 pmDrew, Hugh may be an ass,but you are the biggest looser to ever be on t.v. You think you know all and pretend to be a tough guy, but you are afraid of physical labor. I feel so sorry for your wife and sincearly hope she has a real man while your crying on the road.
July 6th, 2008 at 6:12 pmGive me an example of Drew being “afraid of physical labor.”
July 9th, 2008 at 11:00 pmYou are only seeing what the producers want you to see. Skillful editing. Wait and see what happens. It should turn out better for Drew.
July 20th, 2008 at 1:54 pmsomeone mentioned drew coming back as “comic relief” you’re probably closer to the truth than you know……take a look at the internet movie database and look at his acting career.
I’m still up in the air about drew, and having missed the last few shows, i have no idea whats currently happening with him
July 21st, 2008 at 12:06 amDrew is a complete and total zero. He’s like Gilligan from the old tv show, just not funny.
Drew is a lazy bum. Ever see a job application that says “other duties as required”? Well, when Drew’s rig was in for repair, he needs to get with his supervisor and find out what else he can do in the meantime, not go back to his hotel room and smoke butts all day.
Rick is much the same way. Just a cocky, arrogant prick who whines and complains when things don’t go his way. What does Rick do when his truck is down? Watch Ax Men on tv and smoke butts! No wonder these bosses hate these guys! They’re both losers! Your truck is down, so you ask the boss what else needs to be done around the place. Did you see Hugh whine when he had to fix that generator? No, because he knows that’s sometimes part of the job!
Rick is just a whiner and complainer, and if he sticks it out long enough, he’ll be ok. Drew, on the other hand is just a worthless d*psh*t who probably can’t find his own rearend with both hands and two mirrors. He can, however smoke some cigarettes! Anyone know how many cigs ol’ Dewey can puff a day? My guess is that he can nail a carton in two days.
July 21st, 2008 at 12:52 amSo, aside from the 2 cardinal sins of being “not funny as Gilligan” and “smoking too much,” does anyone else have a complain about Drew that has something to do with trucking? I never saw any supervisor approached either Drew or Rick and give them jobs while their rigs were down. Maybe, it’s the supervisors who are lazy bums and aren’t supervising. If Kurt hadn’t approached Hugh with the generator fixing job, he’ll be relaxing in a nice heated waiting room as well.
Agreed that Rick is a whiner who wrecks trucks and refuses work. It’s quite a contrast to Drew. Drew is out there doing what it takes to feed his family: drive forklifts, drive box trucks, etc… I’ve seen every episode, never saw Drew turn down any work. Anyone who accuses Drew of being lazy needs to supply the proof.
July 21st, 2008 at 11:09 pmWe’ll never know the true lives of any of these folks; only what the program shows us. Proof of anything is virtually impossible. As far as we know, Alex could be the lazy one and Drew the hardest worker of the bunch! This isn’t a documentary, it’s a stupid reality show! Drewey seems to be working harder this season, but last season he drained the family credit card on hotel rooms and cigarettes waiting for his truck to be fixed several times. As the mechanic said, “how does somebody lose those huge, heavy truck batteries and not know it?”
First episode of last year, Drewey says over the radio “I have no intention of going into a ditch, bro” then promptly slams his truck into a ditch! Then there’s the scene of dim-wad walking into the back of his truck while it’s motoring along driverless down the ice road so he can find his favorite coffee mug! Granted, they’re driving extremely slow, but that didn’t look too good for someone who’s already had his vehicle in the shop for damage! Then the ding-dong runs out of gas; a cardinal sin in the frigid north, since it takes hours to warm up the block enough for it to start.
I know why Drew never knew his batteries fell out! He was too busy taking a dump in his little porta-pottie while he had the truck on “auto pilot.” The dude is not only stupid, but he is dangerous, and will get somebody killed up there.
July 22nd, 2008 at 12:26 amDrew Sherwood sucks. Drew Sherwood is nothing but a putz, a failure, and a major loser. It is hard to believe that he has a wife.
August 11th, 2008 at 12:33 amYou need to go home loser
August 13th, 2008 at 4:41 pmHugh owes you money and he is just not man enough to own up to it and when u left and he said on TV that he almost had to hit you cause you started talking and he said that he told you not to talk until he was done talking. That was bull it just showed how low he really is and greedy. His Ego is to big and i am not jealous i wouldn’t want to be anything like him but i know i could work circles around him. Stay Safe and be Good
