Hey Rick -- do you have issues -- like with your father? Dragging around issues like this is like driving a truck with a flat tire. Dealing with these issues is like getting the tire changed. One time my husband and I had a flat while we were on a trip and suddenly a good Samaritan appeared and said, "Can I help?" If a good Samaritan shows up and asks if he can help, just think of him as a tire changer and accept the help. Maybe someone might say to you, "You ought to go to AA." Or someone has said to you, "You ought to go see Pastor Joe." Maybe your natural inclination might be to blow them off. Don't blow them off, instead think of them as good Samaritan tire changers.

The reason why I am addressing this topic is that when Alex was first admitted to the hospital, the only thing he could think of was that he had a run that he needed to make. The VERY NEXT SCENE on the show had you belly aching about the truck, your backaches, etc. Alex finally went to the hospital only after many weeks of very serious episodes of shortness of breath and coughing up blood. You made an extremely big deal out of some aches and pains and had to be driven to the next town to see a doctor. Do you realize how bad this looked??? So I repeat, whatever issues you have, if someone wants to help you "change a tire" by golly shake their hand and say yes.

Hey Rick I would like to go down there and drive a truck on the ice road but I wouldn't like to work for Hugh Rowland, because he is a bad influence on people cause like you said he don't care about nothing up there on the ice road as long as he is getting loads.
