TJ Tilcox
Born in Hillsburgh, Ontario, TJ is only 21 years old, but do not be fooled by his boyish looks. Almost all the members of his family have been truck drivers at some point in their lives. Not to mention that he has been driving a truck ever since he turned 16.
TJ loves being a truck driver, but he does not like the cold very much. He came to Yellowknife not for the money, but for the experience. He had a run of bad luck in the 2007 season as he was injured while tying down a load, and suffered severe abdominal pains only a few days later. After being flown to a hospital, T.J. returned to the ice roads.
TJ’s load count up to the latest episode (“The Big Melt”) was 288 tons, which means he earned $29,000.

I just wanted to say that I loved the Ice Road Truckers season. Canada has a very special place in my heart, so it was a joy just to hear the guys talk–especially T.J. It’s an accent thing.
I was worried when I’d heard about his chaining accident, so I was relieved when he was able to return. I’m 26, and I live in Ohio. All the best, T.J.!

The Ice Road Truckers are awesome and well the job that they all do is a challenge…You have to be very brave to do something like that….I watched the whole series for this season and well I was worried about the guys…I may not know them personally but if I met them I would tell them it is an honor to meet you and that they are very brave…..some day I would like to ride around with some one that does the Ice Road Trucking just so I can know what it is like…..Best of luck to all of you next year….and No more injuries please…..

November 5th, 2008 at 9:46 pmYou are one heck of a driver. You ran a good season and it bothered me when you had to go the the hospital you are way better than rick u didn’t cry and complain you stayed strong and got right back to work you didn’t run home with your tale between your legs like RICK YEMM. Stay Safe and Pound the Pavement or Ice.
