What Season 1 Ice Road Trucker Do You Miss Most?
Now that Season 2 of Ice Road Truckers has started, we’ve seen that a few of the Truckers from Season 1 aren’t on the show this time. Two of my favorite truckers were TJ Tilcox and Jay Westgard.
Which of these guys do you miss most? TJ or Jay? Leave a reply and let us know what you think!

They were both awesome Tj was awesome for a rookie compared to Drew, and Jay was great to watch especially how we got to see his family as well. but i wont get to see season 2 for ages. because i am in Sydney. =(
June 14th, 2008 at 8:26 amThey were both great to watch. TJ’s new experiences on the road were always insightful, while Jay’s experience led to some intense moments. Each has their own style, but both enjoyable to watch. Kind of wishing HC was back in Yellowknife for the second season as well. TJ and Jay made for a well-rounded group to watch. Wish they were on this year too.

June 19th, 2008 at 9:51 pmI miss both of them. I liked TJ becasue he never backed down, not even when he had those internal injuries. He showed us what a rookie is capable of if they put their mind to it and also showed us that the money isn’t what counts; it’s the experience. Jay was a great guy and he never gave up either, especially when his daughter had Pneumonia. I wish of them were in this year. You never know. Maybe they’ll be back for a Season 3!
June 21st, 2008 at 6:58 amI cannot even watch the show now that JAY isn’t on it!! I HAVE to know what happened to him???? He was such a nice guy and seemed to be really in to his family……….geesh……….Everytime I start to like something……..something or someone that Makes the show……disappears……..Come on Jay……where are you???

I just hope and pray that he reaps the rewards of his labor of love. He is an Ice Road Hero in my eyes. TJ too…..they are missed!!

June 30th, 2008 at 3:26 pmAlso, I am wondering what is up with Rick and all the trucks that break down….seems to me sometimes that he really doesn’t need or want the job he has …and YES…I could be wrong..LOL (maybe he just has VERY bad luck) What is going on with him?
Another thought…..I DID say before that I am not watching this season, however I did record the ones so far and HAVE watched them since I wrote that……but certainly not with the same enthusiasm! I watch now for Alex who is to be admired…what a very good, decent man he seems to be. Hugh just rubs me the wrong way. I like a little sarcasm…..but he goes way to far and comes off as an egotistical BORE…(just my opinion)
June 30th, 2008 at 3:33 pmYeah, I’m not watching the 2nd Season either, but not through my own choice though: I live in England so it hasn’t come across the pond yet! I have watched the first episode and the Next Time… trailer really did push me to want to see who isn’t going to last the season and end up in an ambulance with electrodes stuck to their chest.

July 2nd, 2008 at 2:21 pmMissed Jay & TJ very much this season. They should do a follow up on the drivers every season, especially when something happens. It is nice to know where the old drivers went and what condition Alex is in. Great show!!
